The most aggressive growth strategy isn’t a strategy at all. It’s a character trait.

Back in 2009, the movie 𝗥𝗼𝗰𝗸𝗲𝘁 𝗦𝗶𝗻𝗴𝗵: 𝗦𝗮𝗹𝗲𝘀𝗺𝗮𝗻 𝗼𝗳 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗬𝗲𝗮𝗿 delivered a masterclass in entrepreneurship that most business schools miss. It didn’t glorify a ruthless corporate titan; it showed a simple, average student making it big by taking real risks and leaning into one massive differentiator: 𝗨𝗻𝘀𝗵𝗮𝗸𝗮𝗯𝗹𝗲 𝗜𝗻𝘁𝗲𝗴𝗿𝗶𝘁𝘆.

The film beautifully captured a truth I see constantly, whether building a venture from the ground up or advising teams from the outside. The core pillars of a truly sustainable business are exactly what Harpreet Singh built his company on:

🤝 𝗦𝘂𝗽𝗽𝗹𝗶𝗲𝗿𝘀 𝗮𝗿𝗲 𝗽𝗮𝗿𝘁𝗻𝗲𝗿𝘀, 𝗻𝗼𝘁 𝗷𝘂𝘀𝘁 𝘃𝗲𝗻𝗱𝗼𝗿𝘀.
⚙️ 𝗘𝗺𝗽𝗹𝗼𝘆𝗲𝗲𝘀 𝗮𝗿𝗲 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗲𝗻𝗴𝗶𝗻𝗲, 𝗻𝗼𝘁 𝗷𝘂𝘀𝘁 𝗼𝘃𝗲𝗿𝗵𝗲𝗮𝗱.
🗣️ 𝗔 𝗳𝘂𝗹𝗳𝗶𝗹𝗹𝗲𝗱 𝗰𝗼𝗺𝗺𝗶𝘁𝗺𝗲𝗻𝘁 𝘁𝗼 𝗮 𝗰𝘂𝘀𝘁𝗼𝗺𝗲𝗿 𝗶𝘀 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗺𝗼𝘀𝘁 𝗽𝗼𝘄𝗲𝗿𝗳𝘂𝗹 𝗺𝗮𝗿𝗸𝗲𝘁𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝘁𝗼𝗼𝗹 𝘆𝗼𝘂 𝘄𝗶𝗹𝗹 𝗲𝘃𝗲𝗿 𝗵𝗮𝘃𝗲.

When we shift our focus from extracting value to creating an ecosystem of trust for all stakeholders, the revenue naturally follows. Success is simply the byproduct of doing the right thing, for the right people, over a long enough timeline.

To quote the movie: “Business number nahi, business log hain… sirf log.” (Business isn’t numbers, business is people… just people.)
